Dear RoosterTeeth Fans,

feministcockbite:

feministroosterteeth:

roosterteeth-community:

I’m sure a lot of you have seen the recent quarrel of sorts between Andrew and FRT. As this has become a heightened problem, and only seems to be dragged along for longer than it should, allow me to answer a few things.

1) Feminism as a Whole: Especially in 1st world societies, misogyny is something that runs rampant and unfortunately is something that is consciously and sub-consciously taught to our children. Keeping this in mind, Feminism is something that I believe to be crucial in the moral development of everyone. In fact, as of a few months ago (and still being done today) I started to take part in a documentary about Feminism in the Gaming Culture as a whole. This documentary will shed some more light on issues such as this for the general public. I do hope you see it when it is released or at least do some research about the issue.

2) RoosterTeeth’s Policy: RoosterTeeth always has and will continue to make content that THEY want. However, as we’ve seen well in the past, RoosterTeeth Productions will always listen to you; the community.

3) What if I dislike something they said or did (no matter the level of intensity): Voice your opinion about it; but HOW you do it is most important of all. I’ve done some research on this particular issue at hand and you should take this as an example of what NOT TO DO. RT will not listen to false claims, political slander, hate speeches, and/or statements of harassment or abuse. If you have an issue, please respond politely and with good intentions, and appropriate measures will be taken from there.

4)Did FRT claim to have hackers?: Short answer is that they did mention that in one of their posts. I would like to remind everyone that hacking is an illegal course of action that is not tolerated by the US government. We do not recommend anyone taking such courses of action and hope that such claims from FRT shall cease.

5)Andrew: For one reason or another, Andrew found the post humorous. If you are to disagree than do so, peacefully. Aggression or harassment from any party is not tolerated. If a disagreement is had, please, respect each others opinions, and if it comes to it, agree to disagree.

6) Overall: RT and the RT Community page will not support attacks or harassment allegations made by or for anyone; this includes FRT. After looking at the FRT page, it is clear the intentions (which are good, mind you; wonderful intentions at its core). However, the behavior taken is borderline extreme and as such shall be dismissed from this point onward. No further word shall be given regarding this issue, Andrew, or FRT.

Thank you all for your time in reading this.
Note: The behavior represented by FRT does not represent that of the community. YOU are the community and YOU have the power to control our reputation. Do not squander it. That is all.

I apologize for those of you that have felt turmoil over the actions that have taken place. Remember that the RT community as a whole is a loving and welcoming place for all people no matter their differences in opinions.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for being a part of the RTC.

Are you fucking kidding me right now? It’s been less than an hour since the news of his death broke and Ray & Andrew think it’s cool to pull this shit?

My problem with this post is that racism is a hashtag. Why? How is it racist? Are you saying that I think all black people look alike? Well Morgan Freeman was Mr. Nelson Mandela in a movie called Invictus back in 2009. It was a major role for him. So it’s not racist, if you want to hashtag anything it should be “arrogance”. Because it was an arrogant joke. I know you like to voice your opinion as well as I do, but I hope you know that I won’t change who I am for you.

So Paul Walker dies and you think people should hold off on the jokes out of respect. Nelson Mandela dies and it’s free season?
Why is it funny that Morgan Freeman played Nelson Mandela in a movie?

You avoided my question about the racism hashtag but that’s ok.
Is it bad to say that Paul Walker’s death affected me more? Because it’s true. I was a huge fan of his. Now I know what Nelson Mandela has done for the world far exceeds what Paul Walker has done, but honestly he was just someone I learned about in school. I’m not saying that to be disrespectful to the man, clearly he was an inspiration and a much better man than I will ever be. But I didn’t have any connection with him. At least with Paul Walker I grew up watching his movies, so in a weird way it felt like I lost someone somewhat close to me. Now does that excuse my tweet today? No it does not. But it is not like I put “LOL” in front of the link. It was just a picture. Sure I thought I was being a smart ass, but I wasn’t being racist. I thought it was funny, and a lot of other people thought it was too. I do not regret tweeting it, nor should you for chastising me. It’s all about freedom of speech. Guess what, this is the Internet, there are people like me who say offensive things and people like you who get offended. We coexist. Deal with it.
It also looks like you are actively ready with these response since you reply so quickly with pictures and everything. Almost like you have nothing better to do with your time. You can not police the Internet, no matter how much you think you can.

I hashtagged it as racist because I trigger warn for anything that could be potentially racist.Freedom of speech means that you can post whatever jokes you want on the internet - criticism of that joke & yourself is not policing it. Policing it would be if I took it down. Policing & censorship requires enforcement action.I still don’t understand why you can understand that making jokes about someone’s death is inappropriate when it’s a white dude who was in a movie, but you can’t understand why people are mad when you make a joke about a great, iconic man who is the idol and inspiration for many people WITHIN AN HOUR OF HIS DEATH. I also still don’t know why the fact that Morgan Freeman played Nelson Mandela in a movie is supposed to be funny?
Also, it’s 2:30 am, what do you expect me to be doing? Hold on, I’ll just pack my bags and go for a nice, freezing cold swim in a lake or some shit.

So if I waited until later tonight or tomorrow morning to make that tweet you wouldn’t have posted the same exact post? I find that very hard to believe.
I don’t find it funny that the man died, I find it funny to purposely mistake someone for someone else who died. That’s not me shitting on Nelson Mandela’s life.
I don’t understand why you feel the need to attention seek with your tumblr posts. And don’t say they aren’t for attention. They fucking are.
Oh and 2:30 in the morning… Hmmm… What does one do at 2:30 in the fucking morning. Oh, how about go the fuck to sleep. Or have I riled you up too much that you are unable to. Jesus Christ. Cry more like a baby about it. It’s not my fault you live next to shitty cold lake. Which I’m confused as to why you felt the need to post that part. It makes no sense to me. I don’t know where you live. Also why would you pack up your bags to go swimming? Is it for extra clothes for when you get wet, or a towel since it’s so cold. Please specify.. Or you know you could just call it a night, now that you stayed up so late to blog about me. Get a fucking life.

I’m done arguing with this guy. Just reblogging this to show people how low some people will go when called out for making an inappropriate/racist joke.

Never forget
